Elizabeth Winthrop is a female author whose work is largely children's fiction. She is the daughter of Stewart Alsop and currently resides in New York City[1] Her book The Castle in the Attic was awarded the 1987 Dorothy Canfield Fisher Children's Book Award. She also wrote a sequel to The Castle in the Attic - The Battle for the Castle. Theodore Roosevelt was her great great uncle.[2]
